Chapter 3 Audiobook - The Outsiders
Book and movie comparison: The Outsiders
Post a Comment. I don't know if you have heard of this story but I have just recently finished the book and movie the the story called The Outsiders. The Outsiders is about a group of kids that are all different some are greasers, which have the leather jackets and the slicked back hair, and there are the Socs, they are the rich kids of town and are more dressed up then the greasers are. That was just to get you to know about the book so that the rest of the post will make sense to you. One way that the book is different from the movie is that the movie didn't say anything about Sodapop, the main characters older brother, wanting to get married to a girl when she is out of school and in the book there is a few pages about how much Soda loves her and what it feels like to love someone that badly. A similarities between the book and the movie is that the rumble happened for the same reason. The rumble was when the Greasers and the Socs were going to fight, if the Greasers win then the Socs have to leave their side of town.

A story of brotherhood, friendship, and of a murder, a boy and his friend are caught in a murder, they have to escape form getting caught by the police, and so they run away, starting their journey of friendship and hardships. After reading the novel and watching the movie I noticed some differences, I'll start with Ponyboy, in the novel pony boy is slapped by his brother, but in the movie, he is pushed, I think the actors couldn't fake the slap or wanted to harm the actors, this difference wasn't very good it took away some of the drama.
