Similarities Between the Music & Book Industries
Book is a form of written language and music is a form of speech sounds. The written language is localized. Audio communication is global in nature. Each language has its characteristics, but both have the interactive relationship. The source of the relationship between words and music is the language that appears in the music. Humans have two types of popular entertainment is reading and listening to music.
Music is most often used to create or enhance a mood, while books are intended to convey information. Music, with or without song, is a principally an aural experience. While music may be written, it serves only to instruct the instrumentalist in rendition of the music. A song may be fairly blunt, or poetic, or even tell a story, but it is generally constrained to the style and rhythm of the accompanying score, otherwise it is no longer song, but simply someone reciting speech with background music- not entirely unheard of, even if usually in parody. A book is a printed or written or digital text work with the main purpose of conveying information directly to the reader. Books may also comprise diagrams, pictures, musical notation, fact or fiction, and many other types of information; books serve as tools of education and instruction as well as entertainment.
