Students are the center of instruction that taps a variety of learning styles, allowing students of all abilities to learn and succeed. Investigating the Past Essential Question: How do social scientists interpret the past? In a Social Studies Skill Builder, students learn how social scientists reconstruct the lives of prehistoric humans by examining images of cave paintings and other artifacts. Early Hominins Essential Question: What capabilities helped hominins survive?

Class Objectives. We will be studying Rome and then Medieval History this year. Our focus will be reading and understanding informational texts, taking quality reading and class notes, and understanding the significance of the information we are learning. What are the enduring and significant qualities, values, and contributions of these civilizations of long ago? We will also study modern history and keep up with current events. Notebooks - You will keep a class notebook. It will have 7 different sections.
