A List of Books on Islamic History
From preface, 'The fifteenth of May marked the fifty eighth anniversary of the catastrophe, which has brought about the worst calamity that could befall a nation in the whole history, namely the tragedy of the Palestinian people. Fifty years, during which Israel has implemented its plots and schemes to force itself as a reality in the region, where it worked on embedding its institutions on the Arabic lands and building settlements for the Jewish immigrants there. To achieve this, it has usurped the Arabic lands, forcing out the Palestinians from their home and uprooting them from their own lands. Despite all this the Palestinian preserved his entity and instilled patriotism deep in his sons' hearts, passing on the flag of the nation from the elder, whom the enemies wanted him to perish, to the youngster, whom they wanted him to sink into oblivion. Such flag together with devotion and love to one's homeland remained alive, purified and kneaded with the martyrs' blood.
Media stereotypes and misinformation about Muslims are nothing new. In a post-election world, Muslims are finding more allies who often want to help but don't know much about us. More and more of our fellow Americans have questions and need answers. In on online forum recently, someone asked me about books I would recommend to those wishing to learn about Muslims. I'm happy that people want to learn -- even though I think meeting Muslims is far more valuable than reading about them -- but searching the sea of available choices can be difficult and dangerous. For instance, search for "Muslim" or "Islam" on Amazon , and the array of books that pop up is worrying. Not because there are so many, but because many of them are horrifyingly inaccurate and often downright false.

In Destiny Disrupted , Tamim Ansary tells the rich story of world history as the Islamic world saw it, from the time of Prophet Mohammed Sallalahu alaihe wassalam to the fall of the Ottoman Empire and beyond. He clarifies why our civilizations grew up oblivious to each other, what happened when they intersected, and how the Islamic world was affected by its slow recognition that Europe—a place it long perceived as primitive and disorganized—had somehow hijacked destiny. The Ottoman Empire was one of the largest and most influential empires in world history.

Islam: A Short History
History stands as the most effective and valuable source of putting nation on the course of progress and prosperity and saving them from the path of disgrace and degradation. At a time, when there is tough competition among the nations of the world to excel one another, the Muslim, despite having the most glorious history, appear to be detached and careless as regards their history. This book presents the true Islamic events and their actual causes before the English readers because the other books in the English language found on the Islamic history have been written by such authors and compilers who did no justice in presenting the true picture of Islamic Era but their prejudice prevented them from doing so. The Men Of Madina — Vol 1. The Biography of Imam At-Tirmindhi.
