I realize that many see this as the first of a series featuring Agent Pendergast. Are the other Pendergast books worth a read? I really enjoyed Relic , but probably more so for the concept and the story, the characters were not what made the book for me. Pendergast is one of my favorite characters in all of fiction. Outstanding series.
