One of my favorite things to include in our homeschool preschool is nursery rhymes! Nursery rhyme printables are so fun for kids. If you think about it, you can probably recite several nursery rhymes with no problems that you learned as a young child. I like to focus on one nursery rhyme per week with my youngest kids. Each morning I pull out the sheet and say the nursery rhyme with the kids.
Introduce your toddler or preschooler to a timeless nursery rhyme while working on early literacy skills, rhyming, and more with this printable Humpty Dumpty.

Nursery rhymes are some of my favorite stories to read to children. I remember hearing them read to me as a child by my mom and grandparents. And the thing I love most about nursery rhymes is they are great for all ages, not just little ones. They are so fun and can be a great teaching tool for early readers. Because they are typically short stories with a sing-songy rhythm, even your littlest ones can become entranced with the catchy rhythm.
We love to sing it even more, thanks to the nursery rhyme CD we listen to in the car. He pointed to each word as he recited the rhyme. Then he went back to the beginning of the line to try again. The pocket chart had been so helpful that he had very little trouble reading the book. After reading the emergent reader, he cut out the words at the bottom of this page also from the Nursery Rhyme Pack. I read each line of the rhyme, and he used beginning letter sounds to find the missing words.
