Ellen Reagan did a swell job reporting — and do you love that lead paragraph or what?! Click here to read it! I loved the article! I also wanted to say that you are a very good writer! I love the MDBC books! Oh gosh, Trissy — the books grew out of my own middle school years living in Concord.

The MDBC girls are working at a summer camp. This book takes place the summer after the girls graduate, high school and the book club is reading Understood Betsy by Dorothy Canfield Fisher. The novel opens with the girls heading to Camp Lovejoy. We find that Becca and Theo are still in a relationship, although long-distance, and that Emma and Stewart have broken up. Emma says that Stewart had gotten himself a "shiny new girlfriend" that's name is Sarah. Becca later reports that Sarah is really quite nice. Wish You Were Eyre was originally intended to be the final book of the series, but after many fans asked the author to write about the girls' futures, a final book was started.
Kinda Spoilers! Mother-daughter book camp definitely wasn't my favourite book in the series but, I still enjoyed reading it. When the girls started being nicer to Felicia I was happy but then they tried to change her. I felt like that was something the girls should know a lot about especially Emma and Jess and even Meghan because Jess and Emma were bullied and Ms. Wong tried to change Meghan's love for fashion but, her love for fashion is what makes Meghan who she is. Just like how Felicia's quirky medieval fashion and instruments make Felicia who she is. So that kinda disappointed me because after all the girls have been through, they should know better.
