My Learnings on OAF,ADF and SOA: Oracle ADF – I am beginner, from where I can start

Oracle ADF is one of the easiest ways to develop rich internet applications. All you need is a little Java to get the most from this book as it takes you step-by-step from installation, to development, to implementation. Oracle ADF is an end-to-end framework which makes application development simple by providing infrastructure services as well as visual and declarative development right away. Containing all the skills that a new user has to use to build an application in ADF 11gR2, this book is designed in such a way so that it enhances the practical feel of developing applications in ADF 11gR2. Starting with the installation and configuration of Oracle ADF 11g RD we will then work through topics such as working with the Model Layer and Model Data followed by displaying and binding the data. Later we will look at Navigations and Flows within applications as well as their layout, look, and feel.

Oracle ADF Learning Resources

That entry however was last updated in and written in - so I figured it is time to give it another update, point to more recent resources, fix broken links, and cover additional resources that appeared over the years. Oracle ADF aims to reduce the amount of coding you need to do for a lot of the tasks you'll need for building an application, and if you follow some of the tutorials mentioned later you'll see how you can build advanced apps without coding. But, at the end of the day, you will write code when developing with ADF - and that code would be written in Java. You don't have to be a Java ninja to work in ADF, but you should be familiar with basic language concepts and constructs. There are lots of resources out there that will teach you the language by the way if you are on ADF Searching online you'll be able to find many other resources for this task. While learning the language you should be practicing it with the development tool that you are going to use, if you are going to developer Oracle ADF applications then that tool will be Oracle JDeveloper.

I guess the query which you had given is for "Right Outer Join", I've modified the query as below, Can you please let me know why I am getting this issue?? QTY, RegistrationLines. I am not getting this as a option in the context menu. Post a Comment. There are many fellow developers who are just entering into the world of ADF and Jdeveloper. They do struggle a bit as from where to start from in ADF. Though the in depth knowledge of Java is not required, nor are the advance concepts like threads need to be skilled, but you do need basic java concepts like class, object, inheritance, wrapper classes etc.
