It would have been more believable between Gaz and an entire group, however Toru does stay true to his inferiority complex, which he attempts to compensate for by having a one-on-one with the baddest villain in all of Verbist.
Hitsugime no Chaika
Hitsugi no Chaika's story centers around Toru Acura, a year-old retired soldier meandering through life now that the war has ended. He encounters Chaika Trabant, a year-old sorceress carrying a coffin and follows her in hopes of finding meaning to his life again. The two travel with Toru's adopted sister, Akari, the employed member of the group and thus Toru's source of income. Sakayama began drawing his manga adaptation in Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Shonen Ace magazine in its December issue. Kadokawa Shoten is shipping the fifth compiled volume in Japan on December Yen Press announced last month that it has licensed the manga for North America. The first season adapting Sasaki's novels premiered in April, and the second cour quarter of the year of the anime premiered last month under the title Chaika - The Coffin Princess Avenging Battle.
Twelve volumes of the series have been published by Fujimi Shobo under their Fujimi Fantasia Bunko imprint. It has been adapted into three manga series. An anime adaptation was announced in July  and aired from April 9, to June 25, Five years ago, the year-long war between the alliance of six nations and the Gaz Empire came to an end as Emperor Arthur Gaz was finally killed by eight warriors known as the Eight Heroes. The Empire's lands were divided by the alliance, who later formed the Council of Six Nations to bring peace and order to the land.
