Animal Farm: Themes, Symbols, Allegory

Animal Farm is a novel about a group of animals who take control of the farm they live on. The animals get fed up of their master, Farmer Jones, so they kick him out. Once they are free of the tyrant Jones, life on the farm is good for a while and there is hope for a happier future of less work, better education and more food. However, trouble brews as the pigs, Napoleon and Snowball, fight for the hearts and minds of the other animals on the farm. Napoleon seizes power by force and ends up exploiting the animals just as Farmer Jones had done. The novel ends with the pigs behaving and even dressing like the humans the animals tried to get rid of in the first place.

The Animal Farm by George Orwell in hindi full summary, analysis and explanation

Old Major, a prize-winning boar, gathers the animals of the Manor Farm for a meeting in the big barn.

Animal Farm

George Orwell's Animal Farm is a political allegory about revolution and power. Through the tale of a group of farm animals who overthrow the owner of the farm, Animal Farm explores themes of totalitarianism, the corruption of ideals, and the power of language. Orwell frames his story as a political allegory; every character represents a figure from the Russian Revolution. Jones, the original human owner of the farm, represents the ineffective and incompetent Czar Nicholas II. Other animals represent the working classes of Russia: initially passionate about revolution eventually manipulated into supporting a regime that was just as incompetent and arguably more brutal than the previous one. Orwell argues that any revolution led by a small, conspiratorial group can only degenerate into oppression and tyranny.
