Coppola would not be Coppola if he didn't put something epic into the story and thus, the film is not only riddled with sprawling images, but also with some movie quotes and other references to the pop culture of the time. When the film was released in theaters in , it was received with mixed reviews and only years later, the work, which can show off a fairly prominent Cast with Tom Cruise, Patrick Swayze, Matt Dillon, Emilio Estevez, Rob Lowe and Diane Lane, managed to become some sort of cult classic.

This movie, the complete novel, is better than the screen release, which I saw at the movies. The book on which the movies are based, is one of the greatest American youth books; even came out in I love my Outsiders DVD!!!!!!!! I bought the normal version for my ipod and I had seen the extended on the computer and just had to buy it! Its everything I wanted for a low price!!!!!!!! I recommend this DVD cause its alot more like the book. Trust me you'll be happy.
